Remembering names is my El Guapo

“In a way, all of us have an El Guapo to face someday. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big dangerous guy who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo!” –Steve Martin, “¡Three Amigos!”

Last night, the feature at the Renegade Picture Show was “¡Three Amigos!” starring 2 comedians & Chevy Chase. There was a good crowd of about 20 people & 10,000 mosquitoes.

I recently noticed in the Gazette an ad for Sunset Cinema in Bricktown. Apparently the idea of showing movies outdoors & downtown is catching on. Their first showing is a cult classics double feature of “Pulp Fiction” & “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” this Thursday. Frankly, little sounds less fun to me than to be in a crowd of Rocky Horror enthusiasts in full garb. Their next showing is July 26 (Biker Night) where they will be screening the epic “Stone Cold.” Good God… I might check one of these out to see how they are, but I’m pretty sure I’ll prefer my current setup.
